Clarity Connect has upgraded our mail server to use SmarterMail server. For users using email addresses ending "@baka.com" or "@clarityconnect.com", you now need to enter your full email address when logging in via webmail. If you're using an email program, such as Outlook Express or Eudora, please use the following instructions to change the Account Name to be the full email address also.

 

Apple Mail

  1. With Apple Mail open, click on Mail menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click on the account for mail.clarityconnect.com under Accounts on the left hand side.
  3. Make sure you are on the Account Information tab. Locate User Name right under the Incoming Mail Server, change it to show your full email address.
  4. If you're using smtp-relay.clarityconnect.com as your Outgoing Mail Server, click on Server Settings button. Select Password from the dropdown menu for Authentication. Enter your full email address in the User Name field.
    Click OK to save the changes.
  5. Close the window and save your changes.

Eudora (Windows)

  1. Click on Tools menu and select Options.
  2. Select the Getting Started category from the left.
  3. Change User Name to show your full email address.
  4. Click OK to save.

Eudora (Mac OS)

  1. Either click on the Eudora menu and select Preferences, or click on the Special menu and select Settings.
  2. Select Getting Started category from the left.
  3. Change the User Name to show your full email address.
  4. Click OK to save and exit.

Mozilla Thunderbird

  1. Click on the Tools or Edit menu and select Account Settings.
  2. Select Sever Settings from the left panel.
  3. Change the User Name to show your full email address.
  4. If you're using a non-Clarity Connect connection and using smtp-relay.clarityconnect.com as your Outgoing Mail Server, please click on Outgoing Server (SMTP) on the left panel.
  5. Double-click on smtp-relay.clarityconnect.com in the box, change the User Name there to show your full email address as well. Click OK to save.
  6. Click OK to exit settings..

Netscape Mail version 7.x/Mozilla (SeaMonkey) Mail

  1. Starting at the browser, click on the Window menu and select Mail & Newsgroups.
  2. Go to the Edit menu and select Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings.
  3. Select Sever Settings from the left panel.
  4. Change the User Name to show your full email address.
  5. If you're using a non-Clarity Connect connection and using smtp-relay.clarityconnect.com as your Outgoing Mail Server, please click on Outgoing Server on the left.
  6. Double-click on smtp-relay.clarityconnect.com in the box, change the User Name there to show your full email address as well. Click OK to save
  7. Click OK to exit settings.

Outlook Express

  1. Click on the Tools menu and select Accounts.
  2. Select the Mail tab, then double click on mail.clarityconnect.com.
  3. Click on the Servers tab.
  4. Under the Incoming Mail Server section, change the Account name to show your full email address.
  5. Click Apply and then OK to save the changes.
  6. Then click Close to exit the settings window.

Microsoft Outlook

  1. Click on the Tools menu and select E-mail Accounts.
  2. Select View or change existing e-mail accounts, then click Next.
  3. Under Logon Information, change User Name to show your full email address.
  4. Click Next, then Finish.
